Lucky Troll Doll

Lucky Troll Doll

Inspired by National Bingo Day: don’t be caught playing bingo without your lucky troll doll!

Ingredients

Herradura Silver Tequila

Herradura Silver owes its distinctly sweet taste of agave and subtle oak notes to resting for an impressive 45 days beyond the industry standard in American White Oak barrels. The prolonged aging process creates a light straw color with a unique, robust aroma of cooked agave, vanilla and wood that leaves your mouth feeling smooth and refreshed.

Brown Food Coloring

Lime Juice

Rice Paper

Sugar

Cotton Candy

Gelatin

How it’s made…

Here is what we did

Step One: In a small saucepan, bloom 1tbs of gelatin into 3tbs of water.

Step Two: Add 2oz lime juice, 1tbs of sugar and one drop of brown food coloring. Bring to a boil then remove from heat. Stir until dissolved.

Step Three: Stir in 2oz of Herradura Silver.

Step Four: Pour into mold. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours

Step Five: Carefully remove from mold. Add thin layer of rice paper to top of troll head, place cotton candy on top.

MAKING YOUR OWN MOLD

We made this troll head mold by cutting the head off of a troll doll and wrapping food grade Silicone Rubber Compound around the head.

There’s no sense sitting around waiting for the gelatin to get firm.
Make yourself a cocktail while you wait for the gelatin to sit.

Frozen Watermelon Margaritas

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 1⁄2 cups seedless watermelon, cut into cubes about 1”

  • 6 ounces Herradura Silver tequila

  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • 2 ounces Grand Marnier

  • 1 1⁄2 cups ice

    This recipe serves 4

DIRECTIONS

Place your cut watermelon on a flat surface and freeze to essentially create watermelon ice cubes. If you freeze the watermelon ahead of time, transfer it to sealed ziplock bags once it freezes.

When ready to make your drinks, grab the glasses you are planning to use and coat half the glass with lime rim salt.

Place all of the ingredients into a blender and puree.

Pour into the glasses and garnish with a lime.
