What The Rock is Cooking

What the Rock is Cooking

In celebration of the National Hot Sauce Day, say hello to What the Rock is Cooking!

This is a wobble shot version of a classic hot sauce shot- the prairie fire.

Ingredients

Teremana Reposado

Famous for being the Rock’s Tequila, Teremana Tequila is a super premium 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Roasted in authentic brick ovens and distilled in copper pot stills. This process creates a very smooth and fresh finish with hints of vanilla and citrus on the palate.

Hot Sauce

Gelatine

Agar Agar Powder

Vegetable Oil

How it’s made…

Here is what we did

  1. Pour 1 tbs hot sauce into small bowl. Add 1tsp agar agar powder and stir until combined thoroughly

  2. Form mini hot sauce balls by rolling in the palm of your hand, place them into cold vegetable oil for 10 seconds and place on a paper towel and set aside

  3. Bloom gelatin

  4. Take off heat, pour through a strainer into a large measuring cup

  5. Add 1 cup Teremana Reposado

  6. Spray non stick on the mold and blot off excess non stick spray

  7. Pour mixture into mold, use a toothpick to poke unwanted air bubbles

  8. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours

  9. Carefully remove from mold

  10.  Add hot sauce ball to top of wobble shot and enjoy!

There’s no sense sitting around waiting for the gelatin to get firm.
Make yourself a drink while you wait for the gelatin to sit.
